This residential development built in multiple phases in the old industrial area between Laurier Park and the train tracks on the northern edge of the Plateau Mont-Royal district includes a dense urban form that provides a coherent boundary for this trendy neighbourhood.
The development is set out with semi-private courtyards landscaped with care, and is interconnected by strong pedestrian links that lead to the heart of the neighbourhood. The atypical urban form of the project sometimes interrupts the typical neighbourhood road network by replacing it with pedestrian laneways that complete the urban fabric. This design provides a sustainable alternative for the city, where pedestrian traffic is favoured over vehicular traffic thus reducing the amount of paved surfaces and allowing for more landscaped areas.
