Projet Paysage is currently involved in the design of a mixed use development, including commercial and residential buildings located on Nun’s Island in the Montreal suburb of Verdun. This project intends to integrate the charm of country living to a lively urban lifestyle. It is composed of five to six storey buildings, and five towers of twenty five to thirty storeys high, laid out around a park, a central plaza and a commercial avenue.
Located along the river, the park includes a recreation area, a historic site and a children’s playground. These amenities are all interconnected by a multifunctional path offering panoramic views of the river and an interpretative approach to the history and ecology of the area.
The project is aiming for a LEED-ND (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Neighbourhood Development) certification, one of the highest distinctions for sustainable construction. This prestigious large scale project will become one of the main gateways into the city.
