Event's Plaza

Bustling with activity, Event’s Plaza is the main public square located at the middle of Blue Mountain Resort. Completed in 2004-2005, this lively plaza hosts concerts, gatherings, and promotional events of every kind. These functions had a great impact on the design program for this plaza, which was designed and created by Projet Paysage.

Refined, and open, Event’s Plaza is an amalgam of natural stone crowned by a massive wooden pavilion from which to admire the superb view. The fountain, inserted into a low spot in the landscape, is composed of in-ground water jets bursting out vertically in a show sequence. Its shallow water basin is surrounded by a planted area defined by rocks recycled from the site. Like a mystical geothermal structure, during the day, the fountain invariably attracts children who play in its many water jets, to the great entertainment of observers; at night, it shines brightly in the dark, like a welcoming beacon.
