The redesign of Hampstead Park is one of Projet Paysage’s most notable accomplishments. This large urban park with its equipment dating back to the 1960s and 1970s had not been upgraded in a long time; it was obsolete and no longer met the requirements of the local residents.
As the lead consultants for this project, Projet Paysage redefined the park program and coordinated the construction with the other professionals involved. This ambitious project revitalized the whole park. The existing pavilion building was extended, an Olympic size pool was built, and a splashpad was added to the park. It also included the set up of year-round ice rinks and other playing fields (basketball, beach volleyball, soccer,…) as well as children’s play structures (for 2-5 and 5-12 year olds) and the integration of new outdoor parking spaces, all interconnected by a multifunctional walkway system.
