The first golf course in Canada designed by Fred Couples, Le Maître is a spectacular golf course owned by The Clublink Corporation, which also owns 39 other private golf courses in the provinces of Quebec and Ontario. Le Maître is a 105 hectare (260 acre) golf course characterised by its mountainous topography. This unique course offers three types of distinctive landscapes: clearings and hills, valleys and swamps, and dense forests.
Projet Paysage was involved from the beginning of this ongoing project, around which a low density residential area with views onto the golf course has been developed. Amongst our best known designs are the entrance concept for the Club and its residential sectors, the creation of the site’s landscape architecture, the waterfall and basin for the Club House, the concept and feature of the Méandre aquatic basin, as well as the layout study for the construction of each residential unit surrounding the golf course.
