Projet Paysage planned and designed a multifunctional walkway and adjoining rest areas on Ste-Hélène Island, in Montreal. The goal of this project was to offer a safe link for users between the Jean-Drapeau metro station and La Ronde.
The rest areas were strategically located to provide views onto the surrounding landscape and placed at the intersection of main traffic arteries. All the excavated material from this project was reused. Sculptures that had been stored and neglected since the Floralies Internationales were spruced up and placed prominently along the path, thanks to an agreement between Jean-Drapeau Park and the Ministry of Culture.
